Brassfield Fire Department supports the use of Knox Boxes to provide emergency responders with secure access to your home when needed.
A Knox Box allows only authorized responders from the Brassfield Fire Department to access a key that you choose to place inside. This can help prevent the need to force entry during an emergency, which may result in significant and unnecessary property damage and repair costs.
A Knox Box can also save valuable time during a medical emergency. If a resident is unable to reach the door to unlock it because of a medical condition, physical limitation, or other emergency, responders can quickly gain access without waiting for someone to open the door or having to force entry.
Every second can matter during an emergency. Having a secure key available allows responders to spend less time gaining access and more time mitigating the emergency, providing medical care, and protecting life and property.
